Our Policies and Procedures
We are taking all safety and wellness precautions for the safety of your dancer and family. Under Governor Cuomo’s executive orders, all students HAVE to wear a mask and practice 6-ft social distancing while on studio grounds. This includes being in class and while walking through our lobbies. Our dance rooms have sectioned off 6 ft by 6ft squares to maintain social distancing in the classroom. Every classroom has an air purifying system, and we have installed Plexiglas at our front desk. All teachers have sanitization procedures aligned with the CDC, such as a 15-minute room cleaning in between classes with new students, and a strict no-touching policy amongst student and teachers. This is enforced in all classes except Acro (which for the safety of spotting will have a separate liability form). Along with these procedures, each student will be required to bring/submit a copy of our COVID-19 Screening Questionnaire to every first class of the night. Every student will have to have their temperature taken and recorded by their teacher before the start of their first class of the night. Please arrive 5 - 10 minutes early to your first class for teachers to take your dancer's temperatures. Please enforce social distancing during screenings with classes before and after you as well. The studio will be recording every temperature and screening questionnaire and will notify families immediately via text message of any developing symptoms of COVID-19, or if your dancer has been exposed to someone who has COVID-19. If your dancer is exposed, see the Health Screening Questionnaire for instructions. If you do need to come into the studio for any reason, please schedule an appointment through our studio’s website’s office hours.
Parking Zones
Parents will not be permitted to wait in the studio's lobbies while their dancer is taking class. Please see below where you will wait in our parking lot according to the classes your dancer takes. If your child or the teacher needs you during class, you will be contacted immediately. If you are planning on dropping off or picking up your child, please let your teacher know directly or by writing it into the “Family Notes” section of your parent portal. Please see the attached picture of our Parking Lot Zones.
Parents of children in Toddler: One parent per child is allowed to be in class with your dancer during the class session. If a child displays independency in the classroom, parents are invited to wait in the car in the River Zone parking lot as well. Parents of Preschool, Kinder, Musical Theater, and Teen Jazz and Acro: Classes will be held downstairs in our bottom classrooms with parking access to the class. Please wait in your cars, in the River Zone, located outside of the classroom while your class is in session. If you choose to drop off and pick up your child, please do so at the River side entrance into the studio.
Parents of Petite Beginners and Intermediate, Juniors, Jazz/ HipHop, and Teen- Lyrical, Ballet, Tap, and HipHop : Please park in the Street Zone parking areas. You may walk with your child to the main entrance of the building where they will be met by a staff member who will escort them to their class. If you choose to drop off and pick up your child, please use the Street Zone drop off and pick up area.
