COMPETITION DANCE CLASSES
River Rhythms Dance Center has a successful competitive dance team whose training is focused on building strong and healthy dancers with a strong technical base which will lead to building a strong cohesive team. River Rhythms trains competitive dancers to be well rounded and promotes team work and dedication.
Because dancers at River Rhythms have different goals for their dance career we have two competitive dance teams in order to provide more dancers with the opportunity to take part of and benefit from the competitive dance atmosphere.

Junior Competition Team:
The Junior Competition Team is a novice level dance team in which students are introduced to the competitive dance world by participating in one competitive dance routine which will compete in one competition in a year. This team does not demand as much time, cost, and dedication from dancers and their families and is a good introduction to the competition world and what it has to offer. It will continue to be a good program for dancers who want to participate in competition but remain at the Junior Level in the future and participate in other activities outside of dance.
|
Elite Competition Team:The Elite Competition Team is a more advanced program in which dancers take classes between 2-4 days a week depending on age and level. In addition to taking classes to learn competitive dance routines, Elite dancers are required to take ballet classes, technique classes, and fitness classes. Elite dancers participate in 3 mandatory competitions per year (with some dancers attending up to 5-6 in a year). Elite dancers have the option of attending a national dance competition every other year.
